Missoula, May 30. -- [Special.] -- Memorial day was fittingly observed in this city. The exercises were conducted under Frederick Winthrop post, G. A. R., on the court house square and began immediately after the procession had paraded the principal streets . The exercises consisted of music by the Twenty-fifth infantry band, of Fort Missoula, memorial services of the Grand Army of the Republic, orations and vocal selections. Judge John L. Sloane acted as master of ceremonies, and orations were delivered by Senator E. D. Matts, Hon. S. G. Murray, Rev. McAllister, Rev. Hugh Lamont, M. L. Crouch and E. M. Tower.
