COLORED VETERANS

The Reunion at the Race Track -- A Programme of Sports.

About 200 people attended the reunion of colored veterans of the United States army at the race track yesterday afternoon and enjoyed a good programme of sport of different kinds. The Twenty-fifth Infantry band from Fort Missoula, which was expected to furnish the music for the occasion, was unable to come on account of an inspection , and the Boston & Montana band was substituted.

Sixteen old colored soldiers were present, some of whom were from neighboring cities. There were two short distance horse races in which Bob Johnson and Dolly Tucker were the winners. Lewis Cooper won a 50-yard foot race.
