A Pleasant Affair

A PLEASANT AFFAIR

THE TWENTY-FIFTH INFANTRY CONCERT AND DANCE

The concert given by the Twenty-fifth Infantry band at the Auditorium last night was largely attended, the colored people of the city turning out in force and the whites adding considerably to the total. The music was highly enjoyed by the audience which showed its appreciation by frequent and flattering applause.

After the concert the 21 members of the band transformed themselves into an orchestra and furnished the music for a dance which was indulged in by the colored people, the white portion of the audience retiring to the gallery.

The soldier musicians express themselves as highly pleased with the treatment they have received at the hands of all classes of citizens in Butte. Since their arrival Saturday night it has been a constant round of pleasure for them when off duty. In consequence they return to Fort Missoula with the happiest of recollections of their first visit to the great mining camp.
