200 screenings: A snapshot of non-theatrical cinema

Introduction

This is a personal snapshot of unconventional screen culture in Scotland in around 2016-2017. During those two years, I travelled in Glasgow and from there to where I could reach by public transport, documenting the people and places that made up film culture outwith cinemas.
These are some of my research materials, mainly photos taken for aiding recollection. This is obviously a very partial view of what was going on, based on what I was able to attend in person with limited time and means.
You can browse the screenings I attended on a map: (Almost) 200 screenings - map
Or you can browse clusters of screenings associated with different film festivals:
I hope you enjoy this snapshot of a time and place in cinema history.
