This Slut Votes Rosie the Riveter



The image, from 2012, shows the classic Rosie the Riveter icon with minor edits. The top states in a blue speech bubble: “This Slut Votes!” and the bottom states: “A MESSAGE TO THE REACTIONARIES AND MISOGYNISTS FROM AMERICA’S WOMEN.”

The image is a direct result of the negative statements made about Sandra Fluke, as well as debates surrounding health care, birth control, and women's rights.  Rosie the Riveter is used here to represent women fighting for their rights.
