Michelle Obama Rosie the Riveter




This is an image of Michelle Obama showing off her arm in the same fashion of iconic Rosie the Riveter. She wears a purple shirt and an Obama pin on her collar. There is a blue speech bubble that states “Yes We Can!” The bottom left corner states: “Recovery.gov” and “Together, We Can Get This Country Moving Again.” On the bottom right corner it states: “Post Till Recovery, Accountability, Transparency, Sustainability.”

Democrats have also been inspired by Rosie the Riveter. In 2009, Michelle Obama was being used to inspire the American public to overcome the recession. Recovery.gov is a website that shows the public how Recovery funds are being used and distributed.
