The EDT suggests that in the world of performance art, every person, be they artist or audience or passerby, is a performer.  By this criteria the code also becomes an actor or rather a site of that performance.  It is interesting that even though the group has named a purpose for the tool and Brett Stalbaum has said he feels confident he could depend on the Tool for his  life, this bit of code shows an overarching system, that of legal liability, that seems to hedge some of the promise for a tool.  While it might be expected that counter-cultural tool be secured against "MERCHANTABILITY," the lack of a warranty of "FITNESS FOR  A PARTICULAR PURPOSE," might just give a traveler pause.
