Designer and creator Tiffany Saidnia created Tt collection in 2007 at the age of twenty-six. Tiffany started her career as a stylist after graduating from The University of California Santa Barbara with a Business Economics degree. After graduation, Tiffany worked with top labels and celebrity influencers, making key connections before realizing that she ultimately wanted to design for herself. Due to her role as a businesswoman in a classically male dominant culture and fashion industry, Tiffany’s collection has a unique presence in the Iranian Jewish community. She has allowed herself to forge a path as an Iranian Jewish woman and defy typical expectations from the community. Tiffany acknowledges the role her cultural history plays in the development of her company. In terms of community reception, Tiffany has established a new standard for young Iranian Jewish women by demonstrating the ability to respect the Persian culture and traditions while being independent of familial hindrances that are generally connected to the future of young women. Tiffany’s brand caters to the commercial fashion market, but it has a deeper significance in terms of what it means to be an independent Iranian Jewish woman in Los Angeles.
