The Y&S Nazarian Family Foundation is based on family. It is based on Younes and Soraya and their legacy. The Nazarians were born in Iran. Sharon Nazarian is one of their four children. Her father left Iran at the age of seventeen, and went to Israel in 1949 where he joined the Israeli army. He had seven very important years there where he established his identity. After that, the Iran oil boom hit, and he and his brother went back to Iran. They established their families, their lives, businesses, and Sharon’s father married her mother. The Nazarian family had a dual identity, both Israeli and Iranian. Younes Nazarian’s work was very international and very global. He worked with German companies, engaged in the business of importing, road construction, and manufacturing, which took place in Iran.
