Rabbi Peer & Rabbi Loloyan: Just One Good Deed at a Time

Outside of school settings, Rabbi Peer and Rabbi Loloyan organize different social events and trips in order for Jewish teens to bond with one another and simply have fun in a Jewish setting. For Haichal Moshe Youth a weekly event called “Teen night” is organized for high school students to interact with one another at a BBQ and a bonfire and hear a few words from Rabbi Loloyan himself. Similarly, Chabad Persian Youth also organizes social events for its group of high school students called “Cteen,” that hosts debate sessions, recreational events, and opportunities for students to participate in community service. Whether it is bonding over a bonfire, barbequeing together, or debating on a topic deemed to be important, both rabbis explained that they do not push or try to change the kids through their programs. Instead, they just hope they are inspired to care for each other and just do “One Mitzvah (good deed) at a time.”
