Michael’s family had a very important impact on his career and on the success of FabFitFun. Throughout his time in law school and after, he had the support of his family to help drive him to achieve the success he now enjoys. Michael has had the support of his brother, mother, and father, as well as his extended family, in starting his many businesses. He has found a great amount of inspiration in his mother’s family members, who have an entrepreneurial background, and he continues to ask their opinions on his business ventures and developments. Although his family was nervous about Michael starting a business such as FabFitFun after becoming a lawyer, they never failed to support him. At the beginning, it was hard for Michael's family to grasp the idea of a lifestyle subscription box company, but they nonetheless, stood by him and supported his decision to take the plunge into the business world. Michael expressed, on many occasions, just how proud and supportive his family was of him and his brother in starting FabFitFun and how they acted as a solid foundation which allowed him to build the successful business he has today with this brother. Outside of his family, Michael finds inspiration in the examples of fellow entrepreneurs and successful business owners. Two of Michael’s biggest business inspirations are Jeff Bezos of Amazon and Elon Musk of Tesla and SpaceX. He emphasized how much the careers and accomplishments of these men inspired him to think bigger, and aspire to accomplish the same level of success and innovation that they have.

Just as with other companies, it is difficult to take the plunge and start the company itself. Starting a business that is one of the first of its kind is a very risky path to take. Michael began his journey at FabFitFun with a great amount of uncertainty, but he, as well as his business, have grown to “inspire happiness and personal growth through discovery." This discovery that he speaks of is the understanding that you can accomplish anything that you set your mind to. Michael found success in a path that was not considered typical for an Iranian Jew. Michael expressed just how much the successes of others in the generation before his, in his current generation, and even among entrepreneurs a generation younger than him, have continued to inspire him as a businessman. He hopes to inspire others through his work, not only in the Iranian Jewish community, but in the wider community, as well. It was by understanding that the first path that one chooses for oneself will most likely not be the path that one follows that Michael became such a success in his community. Instead of taking the typical route of practicing law after law school, he took his degree and started a business that even he was wary at first. He credits his success to the fact that he had great business partners who had different levels of confidence in the projects that they took on. When one partner had doubts, the other would confidently help him through it. Their ability to work together and trust each other’s opinions was very important for the success of FabFitFun, and continues to be a reason why the business thrives. Michael attributes his success in an atypical field for an Iranian Jew to taking each and every step slowly and confidently. He built up his business by ignoring skepticism and taking every day as it came. His success inspires the present and future generations to aspire to success, but to also understand that success does not come quickly or easily, and that one has to work hard in order to gain reliability and trust in their field. Michael has proved just how hard work, persistence, and determination can lead to success in any field that one chooses to be a part of.
