Los Angeles Fashion District: From Sketches to Sales Strategies
Shortly after their father’s first store was opened, Bobak and his brother, along with their father, decided it was time to start creating and distributing their own clothing. Bobak continued making sketches and designs. He then had the clothes manufactured in China. They were distributing all of his designs and Bobak started attending the different shows in various cities and countries, and that was essentially when their business got its start, and has now grown into the flourishing and reputable company that it is today. Interestingly enough, the pieces he first started sketching and designing were inspired by a “Country Western” theme. Bobak was very into country music, and he started out only by designing for Western wear markets, but eventually made his way into mainstream fashion.
