Upon arrival, the duck drew huge crowds to welcome it to Hong Kong. As it was pulled across Victoria Harbor to its place outside the Harbor City Mall, the Hong Kong Police band played and little girls dressed in duck-inspired costumes danced, all a part of the duck’s welcoming ceremony. It has since attracted thousands of visitors, both locally and from around the world.
 What is most fascinating is that the duck has made previous appearances in nine countries around the world in the six years since its creation. However, the reception it has received in Hong Kong has eclipsed them all.

Citing the impact he believes the duck has made at its newest home, Hofman said, "Hong Kong has been changed forever." Indeed, even visitors could easily see the duck craze that was present throughout the city.
