The Laguna Moulton Playhouse is a theater located in the beach town of Laguna Beach California. It’s a low-slung building with white textured stucco walls and redwood trellises, evocative of Spanish adobe architecture. Built a year after Pereira garnered the cover to Time magazine, it is a humble addition to an increasingly visible architect’s portfolio. The proximity to the ocean and casual organization of spaces encourage visitors to escape the summer heat and enter the darkened theater.
