why all lowercase?
this section of the project was completed entirely in lowercase, except from the name Amadou Diallo. this was done because everything written by the author, from the authors comment on the electronic literature collection to the actual text in the story is entirely lowercase. there is no capitalization for cities, months etc. thus, this section of the collaborative project will follow this same format and will only capitalize the name Amadou Diallo. the authors of the story never explicitly explained why they did not capitalize any other words besides Amadou Diallo's name, but i believe this format is important to continue, and to increase the emphasis on Amadou Diallo's name.
