Jordan Carmer: Digital Portfolio
The purpose of this portfolio is to discuss education and allow viewers a chance to learn how I as a future educator view the subject. This is not because I think I have all the answers, but rather because I know I don't have nearly enough. Being open about our ideas in how to approach any discipline is what allows that discipline to evolve and grow. By putting my own ideas out there, and providing examples of my claims where possible, it allows others to benefit from an experience that may differ from their own. I also open the door to constructive criticism. Having my own ideas challenged prompts me to reexamine them with new concepts in mind, and make improvements where possible.
The table of contents leads to three different places. The first is over using digital tools in a classroom environment. Aside from discussing why I find this idea important, this section offers up a couple of my personal digital projects and allows readers to view some other cool digital tools. The second section is a brief summary about some of my ideas involving education. Readers should bare in mind that this is not a complete summary, and not all of my ideas are present. The final section is just a simple personal bio.
