Self-betterment is always for the purpose of perfecting whatever skill set or attribute one is enhancing. However, humans cannot be perfect, so idealism is often unrealistic. Evolution attempts to make up for this shortcoming by using machines for a task that is considered solely human. Evolution is an artificial intelligence, or A.I., system that takes samples of works from Johannes Helden, a poet, and attempts to recreate his style while generating original poetry. This amalgam attempts to take the creativity of a human and mix it with the procedural generation achievable through technology. This pushes the bounds of idealism and forces the reader to ask “what is ideal?”
