ABOUT
This project grew out of a Mellon summer research grant into Digital Humanities. We decided to create a small Scalar project that deals specifically with W. B. Yeats' poem "When You Are Old" and its context. You will find here the poem and a great deal of information about its inspiration and the greater cultural context in which Yeats wrote.
To begin, choose one of the options below. The first will take you to the poem and then to an analysis of the poem and its inspiration. The second will allow you to explore Yeats' life and how place, politics, and culture influenced (and were influenced by) him.

Dr. Erika Strandjord and Liz Pilon worked on technical aspects while Dr. Dawn Duncan and Austin Gerth worked on building content. All team members worked on page creations.
