Introduction

A loose definition of Anonymous.

  • "No one in the general public seems to get it."
  • a collective movement, no leaders, no names, speaking as one
  • a series of relationships using their different skill sets and sides
  • an "Internet Gathering" of activists and hacktivists, operating under ideas rather than directives, harnessing the power of "chaotic freedom"
  • focused on internet freedom, anti-cyber censorship, anti-cyber surveillance, trolling and vigilantism
  • not trying to scare people, just trying to get others to take them seriously
  • involved in legal and illegal activities - fights laws that "don't make sense"
