Toku Shimomura Diary 15

Jul. 1
Clear. The heat is severe and there is no breeze. I heard that some rooms never got below 110ْْ yesterday. It seems that today is hotter than yesterday. I did not have any appetite. At noon I ate an o-nigiri with Fumiko instead of lunch. Also during the noon I stood under the grandstand to avoid the sun… At night I went to bed exhausted. I heard that the temperature in the sickbed rooms went up to 120ْ. This is certainly unbearable heat.
