Ways to Improve

Suggestions for improvement based on Hirschberg's Stirring It Up: How to Make Money and Save the World:
  • Consider setting up contracts with organic farmers, i.e. Newman's Own Organics and organic chicken operations in Mexico
  • Invest in supplying organic feed to contract farmers
  • Produce organic products to keep with up the increasing interest in providing organic products to consumers by stores like Wal-Mart and Costco
  • Come up with innovative ways to reduce water usage, i.e. the New Alchemy Institute using water tanks for the greenhouse
  • Change meat packing, i.e. eliminate use of Styrofoam
