Ogechi (Video Explanation): When it comes to food choices would you pick an apple for $2.50 or a donut for $0.50? The structure of the food system usually makes the choice for individuals especially those in lower income areas. Not only does cost play in effect but how addictive the unhealthy food choices are, acts as a drug and wires our brains to make the choice unconsciously.
Choles Voice memo Addressing The Problem:
Victoria: In this short clip Johnathan Foly goes into depth about how the type of agricultural influence that we have had on our farm and crop land has made devastating impacts to the world of food as we know it. The enormous use of water in the industry has caused many downfalls such as the drying up of the colorado river. The river that was once filled with sustainable water now no longer flows into the ocean as it once did over 70 years ago. The expansion of farming has also developed unethical farming regions such as in Deserts that contribute to the large loss and overuse of water. vid clip
