Transformational Resistance and Developing a Critical Consiousness for Students in Their Early Stages of Schooling and Beyond

Elementary School Section

This section is to teach black students from the grades K-5th the history of desegregation in the United States and specifically the story of Ruby Bridges and Racism in Elementary Schools Today. This section also encourages young black students to recognize their racial identity, understand that despite racism they may face in schools they should be proud to be black and learn how to combat racism in their elementary schools and in the future when they go to middle school, high school and college.
