Many of the instruments typically found on the dashboard had been moved to a location between the two front seats, giving it the appearance of an airplane cockpit. Despite GM’s edict that all concept cars shown on the Motorama circuit be crushed in order to avoid liability issues, the F-88 survived and was sold at a 2005 auction to the Gateway Colorado Automobile Museum for more than $3 million.
