Every year the Steelworks YMCA would hold an annual circus. E.L Maxwell, the Circus Director would make sure that talent did not go unnoticed. Maxwell, made sure that the circus had many acts. The Y Circus was a demonstration of the type of work that was done in the "Y" classes, plus amazing talent was created into specialty acts.
