Short Stories

Short stories are a great way to work on reading comprehension for those who prefer fiction to fact. The following are links to sites with a number of short stories to choose from.

e-Stories
http://www.e-stories.org/categories.php?&lan=es&art=s
e-Stories has a number of short stories belonging to categories such as: Fairy Tales, Drugs and Addiction, Philosophical, Science-Fiction, Travel, and more. Stories are not sorted by skill level, so you will have to do some searching to find whichever story best suits your level.

Practical Spanish
http://www.learnpracticalspanishonline.com/readings.html
Practical Spanish not only offers a variety of short stories, but also grammar lessons based on your level (beginner, intermediate, advanced). Each story is accompanied by an audio file of a speaker reading the story as well as an English translation on the side for reference.
