Practice Tools
The following are some miscellaneous resources that can be used as supplemental learning tools.
Duolingo is a completely free website that helps in language learning. Users will go through various lessons to unlock more difficult skill-sets, allowing them to brush-up on old material and learn new concepts.
As you continue the lessons, you earn "lingots", which you can then exchange for "bonus skill" lessons, "power-ups" and practice lessons. The site has the feel of a game, motivating you to practice every day and rewarding you as you succeed.
The service is available both online and as an app for Apple and Android products, so you can practice on-the-go.
Quizlet is a website that provides students with a variety of study tools, primarily flashcards. You can either create your own set of flashcards or search for ones that have already been created by other users. The website is useful for studying vocabulary.
The service is available both online and as an app for Apple and Android products, so you can practice on-the-go.
Gamelingu is server that allows you to search for and connect with language-learners throughout the world. When you register, you are asked to list your native language(s) and the language(s) that you're learning, as well as your skill level. With this information, the site will match you with a partner to practice your language with (in this case, you would be partnered with a native Spanish speaker looking to learn English). You can send messages back and forth, video chat, and play games.
*The website is still relatively new (beta), so there are still some kinks that are being worked out; however, it is still a good place to start with communication.
