Zoom Tip Sheet for Recording Interviews
Recording a meeting in Zoom:
- Click on Record button (bottom tab) to start recording
- Choose record to the cloud (or local if you prefer to your computer)
- Recording will begin
- When you finish recording, click ‘stop’
- You’ll see a dialog box – click YES; you’ll receive an email notification when the cloud recording is ready to view
Turning on Closed Captions / Saving Closed Captions
- As host, start your meeting
- Click on Closed Captions (CC) on bottom bar
- Dialog box opens
- Click SAVE
- You’ll see “A participant has enabled closed captioning” at top of screen
- Then, click on up arrow on CC tab
- The Transcript window will open (to right)
- Once interview is finished, click on ‘Save Transcript’ (bottom of transcript window)
- Access transcript in your Zoom folder on your computer or in cloud (whichever you’ve chosen)
- Dialog box opens
