Sounding Childhood

"My Love is like a Red, Red, Rose"

"My Love is like a Red, Red, Rose" (1794) was written by Robert Burns, a Scotsman who wrote poetry and worked to preserve the Scottish folksongs and poetry.  It is most often set to the traditional tune "Low Down in the Broom."

The 2026 Winter Valentine's choir sang this as a love song, and then girls (only) in the Spring 2026 sang this when the boys sang the Irish "Molly Malone."  Several of us ARE Scottish, so we wore scarves and caps of various clans' tartans.
