2025 Band of Mercy Choir

In 2025, when I directed Charlotte's Web again, I formed another Band of Mercy to learn more Band of Mercy songs; the 25 singers performed some as pre-show music. These were harder songs, coming from early 20th-century Band of Mercy journals, which I uncovered in archives at Cambridge and Oxford. 

The choir then presented the songs for a special concert at the Wayne County Historical Museum for the community, and with historical commentary about local Bands of Mercy from museum curator who explained how *very* prolific the Bands were in our county and beyond. 

We held a very intensive recording session.  Thanks to this choir, another 14 Bands songs have been added to this website!
