Notes
Notes work like footnotes. Unlike a regular footnote though, each note has its own full-fledged page. A link to a note, in which the highlighted word or piece of text is in green, takes you to the note page that explains in further detail the highlighted portion of the preceding page. Scalar does offer us the chance to implement regular superscript footnotes though I would caution against this option because Scalar does not reorder the footnotes should a footnote become deleted—the user has to manually add the footnote numbers and reorder them should any changes be made. It’s more inconvenient, it seems to me, to use traditional footnotes and more convenient instead to utilize the Scalar version.
