Safer at Home: Exploring the ONE Archives Collection

Weekly Picks

Each week, I add and comment on a new archival piece from the collection. As a trained art historian, I make sense of the world through history and material culture. Combining those skills with the resources of the Archives is the best way I can contribute to understanding and contextualizing our present moment and make sense of what we are currently feeling and experiencing. This is an exhibition unlike most others because, rather than having a research phase and then a public phase, these two phases will coincide.

Here is an archive of the images I have selected each week. Each post contains the image and commentary, reflecting on the current moment as it relates to an object in the collection. The text is meant to grow over time—read them in order, by starting with Week 1 or click on any week below to go directly to that comment.
