Desensitization

The issue with bringing awareness to the public through media movements is that they are prone to being desentitized, meaning yes an issue can spark something in them but for how long? Essentially i think of it as shock factor, there are only just so many times before you stop feeling for what you are seeing and much less actually taking any action. I don't think there is any easy way to figuring out how to make anything last long. Instead they start to think that what is happening is normal and won't changed. Activists have to work real hard to get their points across to the public.
