Final Assessment

The Final Assessment is the culmination of our semester projects. By combining historiography, primary research, and analysis, students have created a senior thesis in miniature on a topic of their choice related to Latin@ Mobility in California. Each paper examines a topic from the Latin@ Mobility Exhibit in detail. However, where the exhibit was designed for a broad public audience, the final assessment represents an exercise in academic writing using digital media tools.

Public input was also considered in the final production of the essays. Students collected feedback through individually-designed paper questionnaires distributed at the Digital Pop-Up and through a collaboratively designed survey distributed by email the weekend following the exhibit. Each essay describes this process and discusses how feedback was addressed.
