This course highlights the ways the past shapes the present. Through blogging, we put this connection into practice. The "Latino/a Mobility and California History Blog" examines the intersection of historical storytelling and digital media. Each week, students examine course readings in conversation with a contemporary issue related to Latino/a mobility. In doing so, we seek to connect historical scholarship with present-day debates.
