Arte de La Raza - Synthesis

As a whole, the sites together tell a fairly fascinating story about the relationship between Latin@ (and sometimes specifically Chican@) art and political movements. There is clearly a wealth of political art available, and the variety of sources represented (and the variety of political goals that the sources hope to accomplish) prove that a diversity of politics are represented within Latin@ art. Clearly, there are disparities in the kinds of exhibitions that museums, which are institutions devoted entirely to the curation of exhibitions, are able to provide, and the kinds of exhibitions that libraries with fewer digital humanities resources might be able to provide. Not to mention the fact that the Professors who are largely responsible for curating these kinds of exhibitions might be otherwise occupied in a university setting.
