Probability

Probabilistic thinking can help us to work through issues of agency, chance and procedure, which are the essence of many issues in the humanities.  Therefore, it is useful to use probabilistic thinking even in settings where complexity, emotions and values make it difficult to apply rigorous calculations about human affairs—in other words, in the humanities.
