Tipple


The tipple was the machine that moved coal into cars to be transported elsewhere, mainly to nearby Segundo to be turned into coke.    Coal would move on carts along the tipple and would dump into train cars waiting below.  According to Camp and Plant, the tipple was painted crimson.
