Where does Education fit into the equation?

Education can be viewed as the key component to the mitigation of poverty due to the fact that it may be likened to that of an independent variable in that it too, like poverty, transcends both time and place. In seeing education as a common component of social life in all societies of humanity, it is an immediate confidant to poverty. Education is a facet of society dependent on administrative legislation, the institution of education itself is rendered not only intrinsically weak, but also incompatible with society and all of its encompassing social systems (Raffel 146).

Community circumstances constitute the social issues that perpetuate a poverty level. It is these exact circumstances of specificity  that need to be addressed if social institutions such as education are to be improved. As for Birmingham, the distinct history of the South sheds light on why the community of metropolitan Birmingham is the way that it is.
