Microagression

I appreciate how much effort you went into to explain the history of African American hair in society, microaggressions, and connecting this topic to multiple texts. Even though pro-Afro hair movements began in the 1960's, it doesn't seem like there has been a lot of emphasis on these microaggressions until the last few years. This could be out of my own ignorance on the subject, of course, but do you think that there is a reason for this? Possibly the rise in social justice among millennials?
