Meet the Artists
Both Riojas and Flores use their internet platforms to showcase their art. Riojas, in her Instagram biography section, labels herself a “Latinx Designer & Illustrator” and “Creative Resistance Activist.” Currently pursuing her Masters in Fine Arts at Texas State University, Riojas follows almost three thousand accounts and has a following of over seven thousand accounts. According to Flores’s account, which is labeled as “Miriam’s Art & Photography,” Flores is set to graduate from The University of Utah with a major in Fine Arts Graphic Design in 2022. She is following over four thousand accounts and has nearly two thousand followers. Riojas has posted three hundred and fifty-seven times while Flores has fifty-nine times. Both Instagram pages are a combination of art pieces and photographs, including events they have participated in or snapshots of their daily lives as students and artists.
