This video is a recording of an interactive piece connected to the sculpture, "For as long as Maddie can remember, it's just been him...." This sculptural object is a miniature diorama illustrating a hand-carved figure (the stand in for Maddie/Madison). In the background there is a collaged photograph representing an artificial landscape that goes in conjunction with the diorama's landscape. They have recognizable elements but within the context of their orientation they become foreign and somewhat science-fiction-bound. The scene inside the diorama is of Maddie/Madison in the mist of this foreign place looking outside his half buried salvaged campsite. The viewer is allowed to play/move Maddie/Madison around the built environment, while doing so inevitably creating their own Maddie/Madison stories.
