As stated by Pogobat, what's really the difference between watching the music video on Youtube, or having it on your iPhone, android, iPod, or other media device. Answer: the idea of property, physically having it on a drive. But if you think about it now in this day and age, you can watch Youtube practically anywhere, especially on campus, i.e. free WiFi.
Legally specking by law online piracy is illegal, that being said people tend to follow their own moral compass anyway.
