Editing: Align
- When your scan is complete, the first division will appear on the editing screen as the principle scan (it will also be the first one on the bottom panel line up). Scans in green are part of your scan family.
- Sometimes, depending on your object and scan settings, the software will align your scans automatically
- If this doesn’t happen or they do not align correctly, select the Align tool to piece together each scan manually. If the scans were aligned incorrectly, right click on the principle scan and select “Detach” or “Detach All” to start from scratch.
- After selecting “Align”, the screen will display your principle scan (or scans that have been pieced together already) on the left and the next scan to be aligned on the right (not in green). You can choose another scan to align next by double clicking on that scan in the bottom panel.
- Place the alignment points on matching places on the two scans. The program requires a minimum of three points be placed, but more can be added if necessary.
- Drag the singular scan in the bottom panel over to the principle scan in the bottom panel to align them.
- Scans can be detached or deleted by right clicking them on the bottom panel and choosing “detach” or “delete”.
