Heardress is [inset sketch of headdress] a pice of gold Braid two inchs wide studed with green red & blue stones with O adn [and] the sides studed with stones & Beads handing [hanging] down Dress is of a pice of [illegible] material with two prest Plates made all of the gold Br[a]id Stutted with stones & stones din◊◊◊ on the costume then a belt X of gold braid studed with stones and the skirt (2) is Pices of all coullors of chiffon shredded from the arms come two pices of greenish blue chiffon and Gold snake ornaments and on the feet & hands [sketch of foot with shoe] also gold braid made into Bracelets and rings on the toes & fingers & collored beads around the neck. >

design no matter how bad you draw but graduly you will developpe & to design & originate your own costumes is very nice The above costume is a [oriental?] musical costume good for the musice of Grieg’s Arietra Dance which is very easy to arrange music to If you have in any way a little knack in making things you could make this costume [see figure in margin]. So do not get discouraged but learn well all your dear mama let you learn as far as she is possible to afford the different tuition above all do not do like I did waste your mamas good money & energie & give her no return for what she has work so hard to let you have the benifit off. That Bare foot dancing in the snow I call riducalus I will look you up some stamps and enclose them although I have not had any new ones lately and not traveling I get no chase [chance] to collet any beside I have been to busy working hard to bother with stam[p]s but it is a very interesting onccupation Do you go in for painting you ought to get a box of watter collors & try your taste in colloring take [illegible] picturs or anything & put your ideas of collars on the dresses & costumes
