Profile of Denise Kulp

Denise Kulp is an alumna, class of 1980, who headed the Gay People's Alliance in her sophomore and junior years. She organized the second Seven Sisters Ivy League Lesbian Conference, held at Bryn Mawr in 1979.

I took an oral history of Denise in two sessions, where we discussed dating at Bryn Mawr, the gender makeup of the GPA, and corresponding with former Bryn Mawr sociology professor Kate Millett, also the author of the famous, foundational, and feminist literary-criticism text Sexual Politics. Listen to part one or part two, or read the transcripts.
