Legend of Destruction (2021) is an Israeli animated historical drama film directed by Gidi Dar with paintings by David Polonsky and Michael Faust, the artists behind ‘Waltz with Bashir’. The film is based on Josephus’ The Jewish War and rabbinic sources.  

On Thursday, November 14, 2024, Feuchtwanger Memorial Library hosted an online screening of Legend of Destruction, newly available with English voice acting by Oscar Isaac, Evangeline Lilly, Elliott Gould & Billy Zane with an introduction on Josephus by Rabbi Dr. Joshua Garroway, PhD., Interim Dean, Sol and Arlene Bronstein Professor of Judaeo-Christian Studies/Professor of Early Christianity and the Second Commonwealth at Hebrew Union College in Los Angeles.
