Literary Diptych
A diptych in general is a two sided object attached at a hinge. Often it was a work of art in which items on either side were in relation to the other.
The second one involves the Nativity to the two young boys:
There are really two literary "diptychs" in Luke's nativity story. The first involves the Annunciations to Zechariah concerning John and the one to Mary concerning Jesus.
