Using Scalar for Group Projects

One of Scalar's best features is that it allows for multiple users to access and edit the same project. There are a couple of different ways to make your project available to multiple users. This path explores your options for working with multiple users on a single Scalar project.

To explore the first option, go to your project's dashboard. As you scroll down you will see a 'Joinability' feature for your project. This feature allows individual users to make a request to join your project. It is automatically set to 'No.' If you turn this feature on by selecting 'Yes,' users can request to be added to your project. When this occurs an email will be sent to you that allows you to approve or deny the user's addition to the project. **NOTE** When a user is added to the project they can access all pages, files, media, etc., that you have made available.

Let's take a look at the second option. Go to your project's dashboard. On the dashboard you will see a tab near the top of the page labeled "Book Users." Click on this tab. On the 'Book Users' page you will see a list of active users. This list includes you. On the bottom left of the page, you will see a button labeled 'Add User.' When you click the 'Add User' button, it will ask you to search for the person you would like to add by name. **NOTE** If you add a user this way, the user you wish to add must already be a registered Scalar user.
