Soundtrack & Sound Design

Exploring sound in games requires us to look at three different sound-types: speech, music, and soundscape, (Droumeva, 2007) all of which make up the audible experience presented by video games.  Here, some of the element crossover between cinema can be observed, but video games still manage to take something otherwise popularized in another medium and make it distinctly video game-y, distinctly interactive.
